Inspired by 18th century ‘Blue Willow’ porcelain with its elaborate design. Created in various shades of blue acrylic, trimmed with gold leaf, the artist wants to create a nature inspired piece with a hint of the nautical to represent the city of Brighton. Gemma Compton is a contemporary painter from Bristol. Her highly detailed, stylized works have crossed from garments to gallery walls. Gemma often works in acrylic on canvas depicting the beauty and decay of nature. Clients have included Facebook and her work has been exhibited worldwide including the Houses of Parliament.
