Brighton Marina Hosts Brighton’s Biggest & Strangest Kennel

We want to say a huge thank you to Vegas-style Rendezvous Brighton Casino who have offered up their basement as a temporary kennel to our pack of giant Snowdogs.

The 40 fibreglass sculptures were delivered to their new home at Brighton Marina on Wednesday 6th July with the help of Martlets’ staff and volunteers.

Speaking about the development Sarah Harvey, Snowdogs Project Manager said: “We are very grateful to Rendezvous for offering us the use of their storage space as it is very difficult to find anywhere large enough for such an unusual cargo in the city, especially one that has easy access to enable us to deliver them to their artists. Our sponsor, Brighton Marina, have been really helpful in putting the call out to their tenants and we’ve been delighted by the support we’ve received.”

Latest consignment of Martlets snowdogs were delivered to Rendezvous Casino, Brighton Marina prior to transfer to schools in the county where they will be decoratedEach of our giant Snowdogs weighs 40kg and they were made in southern Poland, near Wroclaw. They travelled by road and ferry to reach Brighton and they’ll be housed at the ‘kennel’ in Brighton Marina for the next few months and delivered to various artist studios across the city to be transformed into unique works of art ahead of the launch of the trail on September 24th 2016.
