Seagulls of the South

Seagulls are associated with the seaside, as much as sandcastles, buckets and spades. The noise they make adds to the whole sensory experience of visiting the seaside. By watching their antics, whether flying, swimming or stealing ice-creams, they entertain the many people who visit the seaside. Let’s celebrate the seagull. Kathleen works in Places, she creates small objects, that are small enough to be held in a hand. These objects are placed in different environments and interact with the place that they are situated.  She investigates the environment, social history, local history, politics and memories of the Place.
